We installed a decent amount of timber work throughout this new build project.
In the back garden we built a raised planter with attached custom built gate to act as a dog pen for the clients' dogs. While this could have been done with a simple picket fence, we thought this would be an excellent opportunity to create a feature that's not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing.
The timber theme runs through the entire front garden too, with a timber border around the plants lining the house to keep the soil in.
This was our first time installing inset lights and we are so proud of the result! We installed the lights into a black and white granite slip border. We used a diamond core drill bit to remove a perfect circle out of the granite slips, allowing us to slot the lights right in with no issues.
All of the lights that we use are 12 volts and LED, making them safe and long lasting; and we source these from GardenLightShop.com.
A garden like this wouldn't be complete without the associated planting scheme to complement it!
All of the planters are filled with a hardy, tropical planting scheme; consisting of: Cordyline Australis, Carex Testacea, Phormium Tenax and Chlorophytum Comosum.
